Kabakoo Academies is a mission-driven organization building the first pan-African learning platform for digital and decentralized manufacturing skills. We catalyze the emergence of sustainable and inclusive innovation by merging high-tech and local knowledge.

Our mission is to accelerate the world’s transition toward desirable and sustainable futures by providing locally relevant and transformative learning experiences. Kabakoo has been recognized by the likes of the African Union, the UNESCO, and the World Economic Forum which has recently selected Kabakoo Academies as one of the 16 Schools of the Future around the world.

Kabakoo Academies are houses of wondering; places of hybridized learning, part school, part maker-space, part citizen-science lab. Our curriculum is designed for learners to acquire and develop advanced leapfrogging skills. Our problem-based pedagogy and our focus on local relevance ensure real-world success for our learners. Either as employee or entrepreneur.

Kabakoo is a changemaker in the learning space. In less than two years of operations, in addition to being selected by the UNESCO as partner for its "Imagining Africa's Future" Program, Kabakoo has been selected by the World Economic Forum as global pioneer for the future of education thanks to our impactful and scalable model. Furthermore, Kabakoo has been featured in the African Union's list of the most innovative educational projects of the continent. Moreover, thanks to our engagement in environmental education, Kabakoo has been selected as Non-State Actor in the global Coalition on Climate and Clean Air.
